Cheap Company Setup

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Cheap Company Setup website and services. The service is provided by Freedom Wealth Advisers Pty Ltd (ABN 83 138 817 571), trading as Cheap Company Setup (“we”, “us”, “our”), an ASIC registered agent (agent number 36194). By using our service you agree to these terms.

Our service

We facilitate the registration of Australian proprietary companies (Pty Ltd) with ASIC on your behalf as your registered agent, and provide the related incorporation documents. Our service fee is a flat $60, in addition to the ASIC government registration fee (currently $636, set by ASIC and subject to change). Government fees are payable in addition to our service fee.

Not legal, financial or tax advice

We provide a company registration lodgement service only. We are not your lawyer, accountant or financial adviser, and nothing on this website or in our service constitutes legal, financial, taxation or investment advice. You should obtain your own professional advice about whether a company structure is appropriate for you.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information; for ensuring all proposed officeholders and members consent to their appointment and meet eligibility requirements; and for obtaining any required Director Identification Numbers. You confirm you are authorised to provide the information you submit.

Payment and refunds

Fees are payable at the time of order. We do not charge a card surcharge. Because ASIC fees are paid to the government at the time of lodgement, the ASIC component is non-refundable once your company has been lodged. If we are unable to provide the service before lodgement, we will refund our service fee, less the credit card fees paid to Square, within 2–5 days.

Subscriptions (Company Maintain and Company Grow)

Some services are sold as subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel: the ASIC agent service ($102 per company per year), Virtual CFO ($203 for the first month, then $305 per month) and Employee management ($115 per month). Prices include GST where it applies. When you subscribe you authorise us to charge the card you give us, through our payment provider Square, on the start date and then on the same day each billing period at the price shown when you subscribed. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price increase takes effect. We do not charge a card surcharge.

You can cancel any subscription at any time in your dashboard under Plan & billing. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise, we do not refund part-periods. If a payment fails, Square will retry it; if it remains unpaid after 5 days, access to that service is suspended until it is paid.

ASIC registered agent service

When you choose the ASIC agent service, an officeholder of the company nominates us as the company’s registered agent and authorises us to lodge ASIC Form 362 to record that nomination. We then receive ASIC correspondence for the company, including the annual statement and the annual review fee invoice, and make it available in your dashboard, prepare a solvency resolution for the directors to consider and sign, and send reminders before key dates.

The company and its directors remain responsible for the company’s obligations under the Corporations Act 2001, including checking the annual statement, notifying ASIC of changes within 28 days, paying ASIC fees by the due date and passing the annual solvency resolution. ASIC fees (currently $342 a year for a proprietary company, or $70 for a special purpose company) are paid to ASIC and are not included in our fee. The solvency decision is the directors’ alone; we do not assess solvency. Lodging change notices such as Form 484 is a separate service and we will quote before doing it. If the subscription ends, we will notify ASIC that we have ceased to act as the company’s agent and ASIC will write to the company’s own address again.

Employee management

The employee management module is a record-keeping and calculation tool. Pay, superannuation, leave and minimum-wage figures are estimates based on the information you enter and general rules; they are not payroll, employment law or tax advice and do not replace your award, your payroll software or professional advice. You are responsible for paying your employees correctly and meeting your obligations as an employer. Do not store tax file numbers or bank details in the module.

Liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the service fee paid. We are not liable for delays, errors or outcomes caused by inaccurate information you provide or by ASIC processing.

In particular, we are not responsible for:

Intellectual property

All content on this website, and the software, methods, scoring, benchmarks, report designs and calculations behind our services (including Virtual CFO and CFO Snapshot), are owned by or licensed to Cheap Company Setup and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you. Your own business data remains yours.

Permitted use. Access to Virtual CFO and the client dashboard is granted to you for the internal management of your own business only. You must not, and must not allow anyone else to: copy, scrape, download in bulk, decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to extract the source code, formulas, scoring, benchmark tables or report logic; use automated tools to access the service; share your login or resell, sub-license or white-label the service; or access or use the service to build, compare, benchmark or improve a competing product or service, or on behalf of a competitor.

We may suspend or cancel access without refund where we reasonably believe these restrictions have been breached, and we may take further action to protect our rights.

Virtual CFO dashboards and reports

Virtual CFO dashboards and reports are general information prepared from the figures you enter or connect (for example from Xero). Projections and comparisons are indicative only and are not financial, tax or accounting advice. Industry comparisons draw on publicly available data, including Australian Taxation Office small business benchmarks (licensed under CC BY 2.5 AU) and Australian Bureau of Statistics data © Commonwealth of Australia (licensed under CC BY 4.0). Those agencies do not endorse our service.

Free month offer. Each company registration paid on or after 26 September 2026 includes a complimentary month (30 days) of Virtual CFO access, activated automatically in the client dashboard of the account holder named on the order once payment is received. The offer is limited to one free month per account, has no cash value and cannot be transferred. No payment details are kept for it and nothing is charged when it ends; continuing afterwards is optional and requires a separate subscription at the price then shown. We may change or end the offer for future orders at any time.
